Hostel Policies

1. Reservations

1.1. Prices of accommodation units do not include taxes
1.2. The charges applicable to the prices of suites are applied in the following order;
1.2.2. Sales tax of Québec TVQ %9,50
1.2.3. Taxes on Products and Services TPS %5,00
1.3. All reservations must be guaranteed with a valid credit card
1.4. The cancellation or amendment fee will not be charged in case of cancellation or amendment if it is made 48 hours prior Chek-In
1.5 Inside of the 48 hours, the total amount of the first night will be charged on the credit card

2. Check-in and Check-Out time

2.1 Check-In :from 3pm
2.2 Baggage lockers is available if you want us to keep your luggage until the unit is ready
.2.2 Check-Out: before 11am
2.3 Early Check-In may be requested but not guaranteed
2.4 Late Check-Out may be requested but not guaranteed

3. Check-in and Check-Out

3.1. Check-In policies:
3.1.1. Guests must check-in at the front desk to access their accommodation unit
3.1.2. Upon arrival, a valid identification card is required for all customers and visitors. See the policies for visitors at point 6.
3.1.3. If the reservation was made online, customers must present the credit card to confirm registration and payment terms and a valid identification card under the same name;
3.1.4. The hostel keeps the right to photocopy identification and credit card ;
3.2.2. Check-Out policies:
3.2.1. It is recommended to pass by the front desk for a room inspection routine, by getting a copy of their invoice and to confirm the charges before departure.
3.2.2. If you leave the institution failing to pay the living expenses, we reserve the right to charge the total amount on the credit card that appears in your customer file.

4. Hotel services policies about client's age

4.1 For all 17 years old guests who wish to stay without their parents must have a written permission from their legal tutor.
4.2 People aged 11 and under will be considered children and no charge will be applied for occupancy load. Guests over 11 years old will be considered adults and occupancy load will be applied, see point 6.
4.3 Children under 6 years old are not allowed to stay in dorms.
4.4 The breakfasts in private room are free for children 6 and under
4.4 Parents / tutors / caretakers are responsible for the supervision of their children at any time throughout the property. Parents / tutors / caretakers will be held responsible for the actions of the children under their supervision.

6. Visitors policies

6.1 It is the responsibility of the customer to register and inform the front desk of all visitors during their stay. Access to the room will be allowed only after registration at the front desk with presentation of a valid identification card for all visitors
6.2 Visitors who stay in the room after 11pm will be asked to leave or to pay the costs of occupation up to the maximum allowed at point 5.

7. Non-smoking environment

7.1 The establishment is completely non-smoking. It is forbidden to smoke inside the accommodation units.
7.2 $200 CAD or more will be charged if there is violation of the non-smoking policy to cover the cost of cleaning all tissues.

8. Valuables and damage

8.1 The hostel is not responsible for lost or stolen items of value
8.2 Customer agrees that it is his responsibility for any damage or breakage and lost items.

9. Property damage

9.1 The customer agrees to be charged for damage caused due to his actions or those of all its visitors. Registered customers will be held responsible for the actions of their visitors, registered or not.
9.2 Its include, but not limited, to the room and all areas outside the rented rooms, located at the following address: 110, Rue Price Ouest, Chicoutimi (Québec) G7J1G8.

10. Noise

10.1 To provide all our guests a comfortable stay, no noise will not be tolerated.
10.2 No noise is allowed after 10pm in public areas and dormitories.
10.3 In order to create a relaxing environment for all our guests, please note that special events are not permitted in any rooms and corridors.
10.4 Occupants will be asked to immediately stop any noise or ,in case of excess occupancy limits, evicted without refund of the stay.
10.5 Verbal and physical abuse toward the hostel staff will not be tolerated and may result in the eviction of visitors and guests.

11. Customers confidentiality and privacy

11.1 The establishment considers important your privacy. We treat your personal information with respect and are consistent with the policy for the protection of privacy in the hospitality industry. We will need your name, valid credit card number with expiry, email address and street address in order to confirm the reservation.Please be aware of the following point (12. Information collected) about the threatment of your personal information in order to better understand the needs of the institution.

12. Information collected

12.1 L'Auberge La Maison Price collects information about its customers or companies to analyze the demographic market in order to improve the experience of our guests. All collected information is used to provide our guests with the appropriate services based on their requests and identify possible improvements.

13. Website

13.1 The hostel can use user statistics in order to improve the experience of our visitors from the website http://www.ajsaguenay.com/ and services offered by the site. It does not contain information that can identify the user and can not recognize the visitor in the system or to collect data on their hard drive. The IP (Internet Protocol) is used to analyze and monitor the movements of visitors and to better administer the site for the needs of the visitor. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.

14. Warning

14.1 The hostel is not responsible for the use or the inability to use documents due to service interruption, defect, delay in operation or transmission, computer virus or breakdown of line or system, even if the establishment is informed of the possibility of such damages or loss of expenses and income. Hyperlinks or internet addresses provided by the publications of the institution to other Internet resources are at your own risk. The content, accuracy, opinions expressed, links to other sites, links to software and resources are not verified, monitored, or endorsed by the hostel. The establishment will not be responsible for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, moral or consequential damages, lost profits, lost opportunities, contracts, information, or expenses resulting from their website or other published documents that might result from a stay or a customer experiences of the establishment.

15. Links towards third sites

15.1 The hostel is not responsible for other sites linked to its own site, their information and their inclusions. These links are provided for reference only and none of them have been audited or reviewed by the institution. We have no control over these sites and are not responsible for their content.
